Imanol Arozarena is a Group Leader in cancer research at the Navarrabiomed research institute in Pamplona, Spain. Imanol obtained a PhD in Biology from the University of Cantabria, Spain in 2003. He then moved to the UK to work at The Institute of Cancer Research in London and at the University of Manchester, where he focused on molecular mechanisms of melanoma invasion and therapy resistance. After a short period of lecturing at the University of Huddersfield, he established his own lab at Navarrabiomed in 2016. His research seeks to identify links between tumour cell metabolism and melanoma progression and response to therapies.
